VTB CEO Kostin accuses Internet of growing aggression
MOSCOW, Sep 9 (PRIME) -- The world has now much more conflicts mainly stemming from the Internet expanding negative information, Russia’s VTB Bank head Andrei Kostin said late on Tuesday.
“On the whole, the world seems to me having more conflicts now than even 20 or 30 years ago. I think it’s mainly explained by digitalization, the Internet, which distributes, among others, negative or information all sorts of that shapes public opinion. It leads the society to a higher level of aggression,” Kostin said at a financial forum.
The top executive said this “reverse side of digitalization” should draw more attention.
